The audience was very excited and appreciative, about the same as in Pomona/L.A. Most of the audience was from L.A. They invited the audience to inquire about tix for their show at the Whiskey on Monday. Crowd was very excited and appreciative, about the same as in L.A./Pomona. DATK asked how many had traveled from L.A. tonight.
Unlike some of the previous shows earlier in the week, he didn't cancel, did complete the setlist (although it was already cut by two songs from the previous sets) and didn't keel over and die, so I guess it was a success!! Good show! Not his best, but then he's set the bar incredibly high with his previous shows over the years.
Early in the song before he started singing, it seemed Moz caught sight of someone crowdsurfing and asked, “Where are you going?” There were a fair amount of stage invasion attempts from both the sides and over the barrier for the fitting encore of “One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell”, but I don't think anyone successfully made it onstage or if they did, it was very brief. So much commotion, it was hard to see. I think most would-be stage invaders were just lucky to get a handshake from **Tommy Emmanuel** as they were being roughly “escorted” down the moat to the egress. Slight lyrical change: “And when I die, oh let me go to Hell!” Instead of ending with “So grab me (while we still have the time)” he just yodeled “Sooooooo...goodbye!”
